Bookkeeping & Payroll
|
- Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable and expense control procedures including bank and account reconciliation, cash receipts, disbursements, finance charges, billings, invoicing, purchase order and inventory verification, charge-backs, rebates, and preparation of daily bank deposits
- Perform timely and accurate month-end closings and in-house financial reporting activities
- Perform year-end duties that included 1099/1096 preparation and distributions; organization and storage preparation of previous year payment records; collaborate with external auditors and accountants, providing in-depth assistance with periodic external audit and tax preparation
- Research and resolve account inquires and discrepancies while maintaining good vendor relationships
- Process timesheets/cards; manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are process accurately and timely, including processing payroll check exceptions and court ordered deductions; maintain accurate employee HR files
- Prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax filings for federal and multiple state agencies; and perform year-end processing of payroll including supplemental payroll and W2/W3 processing
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, reimbursements and procedural related issues; resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Skilled at training and evaluating employees in areas of accounting and office administration procedures; perform difficult staffing duties: deal with understaffing, referee disputes, terminate employees and administer disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policy

- Compose, prepare and distribute company correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes; document policy and procedures
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, appointments, events and other similar activities; prepare agendas for staff, committee, board and other meetings; coordinate travel and lodging arrangements
